Lady Canning’s Plantation offers a wonderful mix of woodland, open clearings, and well-maintained walking and cycling trails. The plantation is home to a variety of tree species creating an ever-changing landscape throughout the year.
One of the plantation’s biggest draws is its seasonal beauty. During late spring, carpets of bluebells transform sections of the woodland into a sea of colour, while autumn brings vibrant displays of gold, orange and red foliage. The plantation also connects directly to a network of footpaths leading towards Longshaw, Burbage Valley, Higger Tor and the wider Peak District, making it an excellent starting point for both short walks and longer adventures.
We’ve found Lady Canning’s Plantation to be one of Sheffield’s finest places to enjoy nature without travelling far from the city.
