Lumsdale Waterfall
Lumsdale Waterfall is a spectacular series of cascades hidden within a wooded valley near Matlock, where the River Lums flows through a landscape shaped by both nature and the area’s industrial past.
As autumn arrives, the surrounding woodland takes on a rich mix of seasonal colour, with golden and russet leaves contrasting against the rushing water, moss-covered rocks and historic mill ruins. It’s a particularly atmospheric time to explore Lumsdale, when the changing woodland creates a striking setting around the waterfalls and remains.
