Monsal Trail
Monsal Trail is one of the most popular walking and cycling routes in the Peak District, following a former railway line through the heart of the Derbyshire countryside. Stretching for miles through Monsal Dale and beyond, the trail offers a largely flat and accessible path, making it ideal for walkers, cyclists, and families. Along the route, you’ll pass through historic tunnels, cross the iconic Monsal Head Viaduct, and enjoy scenic views over the River Wye and surrounding limestone landscapes.
