Whernside is the highest of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, standing at 736 metres and offering some of the finest panoramic views in the Yorkshire Dales. Known for its sweeping ridgeline and expansive scenery, the mountain provides a more gradual ascent compared to its counterparts, making it a favourite for walkers tackling the Three Peaks challenge. Popular routes begin from Ribblehead, passing the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct before climbing to the summit. With its vast landscapes and rewarding views, Whernside is a must-visit for hikers exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
